Learning Resources Centre
Students at The Isle of Wight College enjoy the use of excellent facilities in a purpose built Learning Resource Centre. We have over 70 networked computers, free internet access and Wi-Fi, over 36,000 items which includes a large collection of magazines, DVDs, electronic books and online resources.
Our Learning Resources Centre (LRC) is much more than just a library. Open to all College staff and students, it is a bright, airy state-of-the-art building. Open from early until late, the LRC is a flexible space for private study and group work, designed, equipped and staffed to help you learn in the way that suits you best. LRC staff support the information and study needs of all students and are always available to help you find the information you need.
The LRC is on two floors. On the first floor is the Library where you will find books, DVDs, the internet, newspapers, magazines, careers information and lots more! On the top floor is the Learning Zone, where there are over 60 networked computers which you can use for College work.
Whether you have to do some research for a project, revise for an exam, have a flick through industry magazines for career inspiration or take advantage of the IT facilities available, the LRC has all the resources you need.

Computers and Software
The College has an excellent reputation for being in the forefront of developments in information systems and is well equipped with about 1,200 modern industry standard computer systems, including Apple Macs, running the latest software.
The College Gym
Our modern gymnasium has state of the art equipment, an air conditioned environment and is fully supervised at all times. The gym, which has some specialist equipment for wheelchair users is open to all students 1200 - 1400 and 1600 - 1900 hrs, Mondays - Fridays.

Hair and Beauty/ Holistic Salons
The Hair and Beauty/Holistic salons offer treatments to students and the general public, special discount rates available for students. Please contact us on 01983 535215 for Hair and 01983 535217 for Beauty/Holistics.
Restaurant
The College Restaurant run by students under the supervision of expert College staff, is open to the public four days a week. Private functions and external events including weddings are also catered for. For all reservations and enquiries please call 01983 535206.
Tops Day Nursery
Our purpose built, on site Nursery caters for children aged between 6 weeks and 11 years and is open all year round. Qualified Tops Day Nursery staff will be happy to help you book the childcare you need whether its a short term creche facility, long term care or last minute emergency care. Tops is the flexible nursery able to suit your family lifestyle and allowing you to book per 1/4 hour if necessary! There is a free settling in session which is recommended.
Tops run a holiday club called 'Mini Beasts' for children up to 11 years during school half terms and holidays offering sports, games activities and trips. Visit the website or call the nursery on 01983 520334 for more information.

Pabulum
Pabulum's refectory and deli fresh bar provide a range of food services to suit all students and budgets, from snack items, confectionery and light lunches to full cooked meals. A wide range of beverages are available, from vending machine cold drinks, Cadbury hot chocolate, various fruit, herbal and breakfast teas, to fresh ground bean to cup coffee. Pabulum can cater for all dietary or food allergy requirements. Please contact Kevin the Catering Manager, or one of his team, who will endeavour to accommodate you.
Parking Facilities
The Isle of Wight College has a large free car park with many spaces reserved specifically for disabled badge holders.
