People who choose to work in Public Services and the Armed Forces often do so because they thrive on challenge and variety. Although paperwork does feature, these are not conventional desk jobs and often involve a great deal of physical outdoor work. Shift work and long hours are common, especially during operations or exercises.
Jobs in this sector can be found across the whole of the UK, although recruits to the Armed Forces can be required to work anywhere in the world in combative or peace-keeping roles.
