Music

Welcome to Platform 1...

Platform One is a not-for-profit, independent college of music that specialises in high quality, contemporary music education and community music programmes.

Platform One is located a three minute walk from The College and has high quality accommodation and facilities; including two high spec professional recording studios, sound proofed rehearsal rooms, specialist IT suites; including a Pro- Tools suite, lecture rooms, post-production facilities, mobile recording studio and live sound equipment. Platform One also work with the Isle of Wight Festival and Bestival.

Courses have a good balance of academic and practical work and provide appropriate progression, right through to degree level. In 2008 90% of BTEC National Diploma students progressed to higher education.
