COOLspot

Centres of Open and Online Learning

COOLspot are the 2007 winners of Ufi/learndirect Award for Delivering Learning through learndirect Centres in Colleges.

The Isle of Wight College COOLspot centre is based on the main College campus in Newport (535204).

The Centre is open different hours during the week to give you maximum flexibility to fit learning around your lifestyle – please call the centre to find out current opening times

Attendance is flexible so that you can study when it suits you.

We have a wide range of courses starting from beginners through to level 2 courses or NVQs.

Courses come in a variety of formats including online, tutor led, assessment led, CDROM and manuals.

Courses currently include:

• Level 2 NVQ in IT (ITQ) - FREE*
• Level 2 NVQ in Customer Services - FREE*
• Level 2 NVQ in Business Administration - FREE*
• Literacy - Level 1 and 2 qualifications - FREE*
• Numeracy - Level 1 and 2 qualifications - FREE*
• Entry level maths and English – FREE*
• European Computer Driving Licence – ask for details of the current offer!
